Terrence H. Robertson Owner/Funeral Director

Terrence H. Robertson began his funeral career in 1992 as an apprentice of Funeral Service. In 1994, he graduated from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, GA where he achieved National Board Certification. Shortly thereafter, he became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in South Carolina. In 1995, he completed his undergraduate studies from the University of South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science Degree with major emphasis in Business Administration and minor in Psychology.

In 1999, he began his funeral service career in Charlotte and attained his Funeral Service License in the state of North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, he was hired by Harry and Bryant Company as a Funeral Director. In the years that followed, he directed hundreds of funerals and developed an in-depth knowledge of local customs in the Charlotte area. As a continuation to address customer needs as well as the growing trend of discontent with commercialism in the funeral industry, in 2007 Terry founded Robertson Funeral & Cremation Service.

Today, Robertson Funeral & Cremation service provides a highly personalized service to hundreds of families every year in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Mr. Robertson’s reputation is derived from the thousands of families he has served throughout his career as well as the many churches, ministers, social workers, and others he has had the privilege of working with. He is a member of Christ Church and Holy Comforter.

Gary D. Wilking Funeral Director/Administrator

Gary D. Wilking, a huge Buckeye fan, has performed many roles throughout his various careers. After attending Ohio State University, he joined the US Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. When he came home, he began a career in sales. From sales, he moved into the mortgage business where he worked with Cardinal Industries Mortgage Company for 15 years and rose to the position of President. After CIMC was sold, he moved into the field of Hospitality Management at a large church here in Charlotte. It was there that he met Terry. He really liked Terry's approach to the funeral business and began working with him in November 2009. His extensive business experience and knoweldge is invaluable. He is a licensed Funeral Director in North Carolina. Gary is a member of Forest Hill Church.

Kimberly Lawyer Funeral Director

Kimberly Lawyer lives in the Charlotte area and has been in the funeral service industry since 1996 when she attended Pierce School of Mortuary Science in Dallas, TX. Kimberly is native to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and has held a license in Texas, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina as a Funeral Director/Embalmer. Kimberly also attended MorningStar School of Ministry, graduating in 2008. She volunteers at CSCL Private School in Fort Mill, SC and regularly attends Elevation Church - Blakeney location. She has been a part of Robertson Funeral & Cremation Service since 2012.

Stephanie Pardee Funeral Director/Office Manager

Stephanie Pardee joined the Robertson team in 2014. As the former owner and operator of a daycare business for more than twelve years, she utilizes her knowledge and experience in managing the daily operations of the office. Her true passion and calling in life is to be of service to others, which is evident in the care and attention shown to every person who comes into contact with her. She received her North Carolina Funeral Director license in September 2017. Since moving to the Charlotte area in 2009, she has volunteered as a Catechist in the Faith Formation program at St. Matthews Catholic Church, where she and her family are parishioners. In 2016, she was awarded Cub Scouter of the Year from the BSA Old Hickory District of the Central North Carolina Council for her role as a committee member and fundraising committee chair.

Doug Shaw Funeral Counselor

Doug joined the team in July 2018 after spending over 30 years in the financial services industry. He is currently attending Fayetteville Technical Community College working toward his diploma in Funeral Service Education to become a licensed Funeral Director. He is excited about his career shift and is looking forward to helping families during difficult times. Doug has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Stonehill College and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Babson College. He and his wife Susanne have lived in Charlotte for over 25 years and they have two grown children. They are both very active at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church and Doug is also President of the Charlotte Top-of-the-Week Rotary Club. In his spare time, he enjoys watching the Red Sox, seeing live music, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jane M. Knight began her career with Robertson Funeral and Cremation Service in 2019. She is a veteran of the Air Force, retiring in 1996. Jane graduated from the Medical College of Virginia with a BSN and graduated from Hampton Institute with a Masters in Counseling. Jane has a passion for helping others in their time of need. Jane is available to counsel grieving spouses and/or families as they navigate through their time of grief.

Grady Thomas Funeral Attendant

Grady Thomas is native to Asheville, NC where he graduated from the Univ. of Asheville with a B.A. in Political Science. He has lived in the Charlotte area since 1986, working in the community in the areas of marketing, business development, and real estate. He has been an active member of Forest Hill Church since 2001, holding the positions of Deacon and Usher Captain and Bible Study Group Leader. Grady has been a part of Robertson F&CS for several years and has a heart to help people in any capacity.

Al is a Vietnam era veteran and has served as an EMT for the Charlotte Mecklenburg System. He is also a Deacon and Senior Usher at Forest Hill CHurch where he has served for over twelve years. He has been with Robertson Funeral Service since 2011 and exhibits a caring and compassionate manner with everyone that he serves.
